p2c - pkgsrc to CPAN version compare

Harddrive crash (2008-09-30)

The harddrive from my lapptop crashed and I needed the CompactFlash card as a new harddrive. Right now p2c won't include wip for the next time, I just ordered a new CF card for the Soekris so p2c will include wip again soon.

Release often and early - exporting (2008-09-23)

Just two days and it's time for another update on p2c. I am a Perl module maintainer myself and I want to get notified if I can update modules which I am responsible for. I thought it might be a good option to leave the decision how to do it to you. You are able to choose between my webpages or a new export in yaml format. I've set up a new webpage - the faq - which shows you how to use this export for your own advantage. There might be bugs, mail me - there might be feedback to, tell me - what would you like to see? How can I help you in making your pkgsrc experience more comfortable. Remember - we all enjoy Perl and our p5-* packages. However, they are only useful if they are updated!

Welcome to the rewrite (2008-09-21)

Welcome to my small rewrite project of pkgsrc2cpan which has been renamed to p2c. It's faster, more joyful, support for maintainers and more to be added soon. p2c is stored in a git repository and I'll open it soon for public access so you will able to contribute if you like. p2c is running on a Soekris 4801 in static mode, so no dynamic rendering has to be done to serve the page. I am thinking of converting it to a CGI::Application based application which will be served as fast-cgi.
On the top of the wishlist was maintainer support - here it is. I will add more features soon, the rewrite was more important, the maintainer reports were quite easy to implement during the rewrite.
